At Christ Church all our pupils take part in the democratic process through the School Council. Our School council is directly elected by all the pupils in each class. Elections are held at the start of each school year and each Year group from Year 2 to Year 6 elects two representatives. In Year 6 the Head Boy and Head Girl are also School Council members. and these are elected by staff members.
Our School Council members for 2024-2025 are:
Year 2: Amelia and Oscar
Year 3: Payton and Bobby
Year 4: Thea and Ollie
Year 5: Evie and Finley
The council meet regularly to discuss a range of ideas and projects that are important within school, working in partnership with staff and governors on local, National and International issues. They also discuss matters that come directly from pupils' own ideas and concerns. The School Council feeds back regularly to pupils, teachers, senior leaders and governors so everyone is aware of the impact of the council’s work.
