Our school council is directly elected by all the pupils in our school. Each Year group from Year 2 to Year 6 elects two representatives. The members from each of these year groups meet on a regular basis to discuss how they can add to school life. They form a council which meets to discuss a range of ideas/projects. All projects are brought directly for pupils' ideas and concerns. The school council also contributes to other ideas which are forwarded by Staff, Parents, Governors and the County Council. All reports and events are read by our Governors who are grateful for the help the School Council gives them.

The School Council is a way of enabling children at Christ Church CE to have a say in the running of their own school. In this way our children have a greater sense of belonging, become more confident when putting forward ideas and develop a greater understanding of the need to work co-operatively for the good of others.
The School Council works closely with S.O.C.C.S through organising events such as our SOCKS for S.O.C.C.S event where members came up with the idea that children would come into school wearing crazy socks and donate £1 to S.O.C.C.S. Members have also been busy organising and making decorations for our Spooky Disco, Valentine's ball and Easter bingo. Our next event is our annual summer fair where we will have more exciting stalls and prizes. Watch this space!
